The Labette County Grizzlies were devastated by the 34-27 loss to the Independence Bulldogs on Friday, October 16, 2026 in Altamont, Kansas. It was neck-and-neck throughout the game until the Grizzlies fell short in the last quarter.
Senior Kamden Good had a great first game back after his injury earlier in the season. Despite breaking his wrist and undergoing surgery, he had a strong defensive game that included one interception. Senior offensive lineman Wyatt Kepley also scored his first touchdown of the season.
Looking ahead, the Grizzlies will travel to take on the Tonganoxie Chieftains for the first round of 4A playoffs.
